About the role

As a Hospitality Services Assistant at Lutheran Homes Glynde you will report to the Hotel Services Manager to provide direct hospitality services to LHG's residential care facility on a daily basis.

You will be assisting with the preparation, cooking and delivery of Hospitality services to all the residents throughout the facility.

You will provide assistance in all areas of Hospitality services in compliance with the Aged Care and Food Regulations and Standards that comprise LHG's Food Safety Plan.

You will be working closely with the hospitality and care teams in the provision of person-centred care to all residents.

Key Duties
Key duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the safe preparation of texture modified meals and special diets (instruction provided)
  • Participate in providing a quality dining experience for residents in the preparation and delivery of quality meals
  • Provide meal plating services
  • Assist in all food service areas
  • Complete food safety documentation as directed
About you

  • Certificate III in Health Support Service or Hospitality or Food Services, or equivalent experience
  • Experience using commercial kitchen equipment and intermediate culinary skills
  • Strong awareness of the importance of maintaining confidentiality
  • Previous residential aged care experience highly regarded
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Exceptional customer services skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of people
