We're looking for an experienced, purpose driven Treatment Plant Planning Specialist to join our team.

You'll be working in our Distribution Services Group, a fast paced, dynamic and rewarding operational environment, where we work together to ensure essential water and sanitation services are delivered to our customers and community day in day out.

We do this through high quality asset management practices, operational resilience, great partnerships, and highly responsive customer service delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Be the point of technical engineering expertise for Treatment Plants within the Treatment Plant Planning team and the broader organisation.
  • Ensure Yarra Valley Water continues to meet its various regulatory requirements now and in to the future.
  • Support development and delivery of innovative strategies, processes and programs relating to treatment plants, that deliver safe working environments, capacity and performance optimisation, service reliability, good asset management practice and innovation.
  • Is responsible for supporting the technical capability uplift and development of the Treatment Plant Planning team members through the provision of technical guidance, advice, coaching, mentoring, and training.

About you

  • Have a Process Engineering background or related science or engineering disciplines, with transferable analytical and planning skills.
  • Strategic thinker, who is able to bring together concepts and people to develop integrated outcomes for our treatment plants.
  • Ability to quickly build effective working rapport with stakeholders to influence decision making, negotiate positive outcomes and ensure business and customer expectations are achieved.
  • Ability to demonstrate technical leadership by supervising, coaching and mentoring others.
