As an HSE Advisor, you will play a crucial role in promoting and ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices within our organization.

You will work closely with management and employees to identify potential hazards, develop effective safety procedures, and implement robust HSE programs.

Your primary objective will be to create a culture of safety awareness and compliance across all departments.


Job duties:


  • Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and evaluate compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE programs, policies, and procedures that align with industry best practices and legal requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to management and employees regarding HSE matters, including incident prevention, hazard identification, and emergency response planning.
  • Conduct HSE training sessions and workshops to enhance employee awareness and competency in areas such as hazard recognition, accident prevention, and environmental stewardship.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and potential environmental impacts, ensuring that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken.
  • Monitor and report HSE performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and providing regular updates to management.
  • Stay updated on relevant HSE regulations, industry standards, and emerging trends to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.

About you:


  • Minimum Certificate IV OHS, and or Diploma in OHS.
  • 3 yearsexperience working as an HSE Advisor or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of local and national Australian HSE regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence staff members at all levels.
  • Solid analytical and problemsolving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential HSE issues.
  • Ability to conduct training sessions and develop engaging HSE materials.

Highly advantageous but not essential:


  • Certificate IV Trainer & Assessor.
  • ICAM certified, or similar investigation methodology.
  • Construction, civil and/or workshop experience.
