An innovative, experienced registered nurse is required for the Project Officer Electronic DD Register (HS8).


About the role:


The role provides a unique opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to work with the Pharmacist Project Officer and other key stakeholders to coordinate the implementation, evaluation and integration of the electronic controlled substances register at Austin Health.

The Project Officer will ensure that the electronic controlled substance register is sustainably planned for, implemented and evaluated across 12 months ensuring the system is embedded in whole of clinical staff business as usual and sustained by existing resources.

The role is for one-year fixed term and can be either full time or part time.


Key responsibilities will see you:

  • Lead and support successful project outcomes.
  • Engage with and support Austin Health clinical staff.
  • Provide professional, organisational valuesbased leadership.
  • Engage with and promote research, quality, and safety as outlined in the project plan.
  • Commitment to and engage with education and training of self and others as outlined in the project plan.

About you:

You will be a Registered Nurse with clinical experience and an interest in Medication safety.

You'll enjoy working in a supportive, inclusive team and have had experience engaging stakeholders and delivering improvement projects in clinical settings.


You'll further have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Clinical experience and knowledge of medication safety.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.
  • High level computer literacy, data analysis and presentation skills

Selection Criteria
Essential:

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

Clinical experience and knowledge of medication safety.

Essential:
Must have had 3 Covid vaccinations plus current flu vaccination.
