Description

The purpose of the Project Officer position is to assist with the administration and delivery of the funding programs delivered by the division, and the contract management of the approved funding applicants.


As the Project Officer you will:
  • Assist team leaders to deliver and manage a diverse suite of funding programs.
This will include coordinating funding rounds, assessment processes, contract negotiation and management. Manage your own portfolio of grant funding recipients. Identify risks and issues and propose practical solutions. Compile, negotiate and manage funding agreements to ensure the delivery of approved funding proposals and the associated project activities and outcomes. Utilise a best practice grants management system to deliver relevant funding rounds, and proactively manage all aspects of the grant management life cycle. Prepare reports, submissions, briefings and correspondence as needed individually, and as directed by senior officers and management. Undertake assessment of grant funding proposals for eligibility and adherence to program guidelines. Promote an effective working culture by capturing and sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues to develop a sense of collaboration among team members. Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
