The Payment Strategy Specialist is responsible undertaking the major debt management/lodgement enforcement programs and high-level research into new and/or established areas of taxation.


The Payment Strategy Specialist provides support to a Senior Debt Management Officer as a team leader and coordinator role in respect of the conduct of compliance and recovery programs.


The incumbent will be required to possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills including recognising and handling conflict situations and developing solutions which are acceptable to all parties, as well as liaising with staff in other branches of RevenueSA including Senior Managers and Executives.


Duties include:

  • Managing a caseload of major collection cases;
  • Daily, monthly and year end reporting;
  • Assisting with the development and facilitation of training and ongoing development for Recovery staff, and act as a mentor to team members;
  • Preparing evidence and appear as an advocate in court;
  • Informing clients in the private sector and industry or professional bodies on RevenueSA policy and their liabilities to encourage their compliance and provide high levels of client service;
  • Review and updating procedures.

Special Conditions:

This is a term vacancy up to 28 June 2024.

The incumbent will be required to:

  • participate in the Departmental Performance Management Program
- undertake a General Probity Screening check, and
- may be required to be assigned to other positions at the same remuneration level across the department.


Remuneration:

ASO5 - $84 522 p.a. min - $94 003 p.a. max (adjusted accordingly to hours worked)
