The Company
The client is an established and growing resource partner. They have several mining contracts currently in operation and more in the pipeline due to commence imminently.


The Role
The role is for an experienced Mine Surveyor with a proven background in Iron Ore and Magnetite.


Reporting to the Tech Services Superintendent, the Mine Surveyor will perform day to day set out of designs and providing plans to operators to ensure excavation process is completed appropriately to the engineering design.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Expand survey control network where required
  • Batter checks
  • Blast boundary setout
  • TBM's
  • Grade control setout
  • Miscellaneous project work
  • Installing new prisms for highwall monitoring where required
  • Post blast volume calculations
  • Pit pickup (RTK GPS or Aerial Flyover Data)
  • End of Month surveys and reports

ABOUT YOU
To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Mine Surveying or related discipline
  • Remote pilot license (Multi-Rotor preferred)
  • 2+ years experience as an open pit mine surveyor (Ideally Magnetite)
  • Previous experience with software packages highly regarded
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety, and teamwork.
  • Good communication skills
  • WA C Class manual driver's license
