Role Details


The Department for Child Protection (DCP) is seeking a
Lead Project Officer to help deliver priority projects, change activities and continuous improvement outcomes on behalf of the Finance and Corporate Services directorate.


The role is responsible for:

  • Building collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external to the department
  • Leading by example and proactively promoting a positive teamfirst, personcentered culture
  • Providing leadership in the development, design, implementation, and evaluation of high priority projects and change activities
  • Providing strategic planning expertise to realise the anticipated benefits for projects, change activities, and directorate planning priorities
  • Conducting high level, evidence based research to provide expert advice on projects, programs, and change activities.

About the Business


The Department for Child Protection plays a key role in the protection of children, young people and their families within South Australia.

The department provides support to vulnerable children and young people to be safe, strong and connected.


The Business Improvement team within the Finance and Corporate Services directorate delivers contemporary project and change management, communication and continuous improvement expertise to support the directorate to realise positive outcomes for the department.

The Business Improvement team is a collaborative, fun space to work and exists to help others to problem solve complex challenges with creative, people-centered solutions.
