About the Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Electrical Leading Hand to join our high performing team in Argenton NSW 2284.

This role will require you to interact with other Waratah Engineering and Swanson Industries departments to execute tasks.


Operating within our team, you will assist with the co-ordination of site and workshop activities to ensure work is completed to the required standard, on-time, within budget and without injuries or incidents.

Your responsibilities in this role will include;

  • Oversee daytoday activities for the shift to ensure work complies with company procedures and is completed on time.
  • On the job involvement in all aspects of work not limited to assembly, overhaul, inspection, reporting and educating others.
  • Provide information to Supervisor on status of current electrical works
  • Reading and interoperating schematics and reference materials planning the layout and installations of electrical works.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support a safe and healthy working environment by compliance with the company's WHS Management System and promoting a strong safety culture

About You:

To be considered for this role, you will possess:

  • Relevant Electrical qualifications
  • AS3800 qualification
  • Exposure to industrial, mining and oil & gas industries is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and negotiate desired outcomes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide sound advice and influence key stakeholders.
  • Familiarisation in computer operating systems
