Within Western Australia our Mining & Resources Division delivers engineering and construction projects for our key Tier 1 iron ore producing clients, which enables them to sustain and expand their mining operations throughout the Pilbara Region of Western Australia.

As a trusted partner to the WA resource sector, Calibre is integrated in our Client's Major Projects which enables up to go above and beyond and succeed together with our clients.


The Role:

In this role, you will lead lead a multidisciplinary engineering team focused on brownfields deliverables. Calibre has been engaged for multiple projects to design rail network expansions for new mine developments.

The scopes of work range from upgrades to existing infrastructure as well as some greenfield work for ore transport option analysis.


  • Driving design innovation, value engineering and best practice across projects teams and the broader business
  • Ensure all engineering project work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies and practices
  • Contribute to technical advisory for multidisciplinary project tender bids and submissions as required
  • Build and grow external partnerships and keep strong clientfacing presence in the market

Thrive with us We hope you'll bring:

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree (4-year duration) accredited by Engineers Australia
  • Experience working through all key stages of the project lifecycle from PFS, to DPS, through to execution
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in a similar engineering project delivery environment
  • Familiarisation with rail operations and standards, specifically within the Pilbara region
  • Demonstrated background in leading crossfunctional teams and executing complex mining and rail infrastructure projects
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and meet tight deadlines
