Position description:

We seek enthusiastic
Technical Officers to join our Histology department in
Macquarie Park.
You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include the following:

Perform routine histology procedures including microtomy (tissue sectioning) and embedding and preparing highquality slides for staining and analysis.
Maintaining and operating laboratory equipment and instruments.
Adhering to standard laboratory protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Collaborating with the team to ensure efficient workflow and highquality results.
Troubleshoot equipment and technical issues as they arise

We are looking for the following:

Graduated with a Medical Science Degree or recognised AIMS equivalent.
Minimum 2 year's experience in a histology/anatomy lab or highly knowledgeable in histological processes, histological instruments and laboratory equipment
Open to working either:
Part time Saturday and Sunday with flexible hours
Fulltime (Weekdays and Weekends): Wednesday to Sunday or Saturday to Wednesday. Weekday hours from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with flexible weekend hours.
Excellent attention to detail and good time management skills.
Team player with the ability to work unsupervised
Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
