The Role

Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Senior Contract Manager will provide effective contract management, procurement advice, compliance, quality assurance and reporting on program performance.

They will also supervise a number of people within the team.


Responsibilities may include:

  • Assist with managing the contracts of Registered Training Organisations (RTO) to assist them to deliver skills assessment services, including monitoring of performance against contractual key performance indicators, reviewing compliance with the contract requirements, liaising with RTO staff to provide assistance and troubleshoot ad hoc issues.
  • Assist managing reporting obligations including, Annual Reports, Right Fit for Risk Policy, Indigenous Procurement Policy, compliance reporting and AusTender.
  • Contribute to the wider management of the programs including managing risk, identifying trends and improving outcomes.

Skills and Capabilities

We are looking for someone with good leadership skills, ability to confidently engage across levels, ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with our providers to deliver program outcomes, procurement, and contract management experience (preferably in the APS), some data and reporting skills and high levels of written and verbal communication.


The Opportunity

This position is available to Ongoing Department of Employment and Workplace Relations and/or APS employees as a temporary transfer at level and/or a temporary performance (Acting) opportunity for a period of 12 months.
