About the role


To support our success we are looking for an Insurance Services Representative - Claims Management to join the Insurance Services team based in either Brisbane or Melbourne.


As an Insurance Services Representative - Claims Management, you will be responsible for the case management and completion of a portfolio of claims on behalf of the Trustee.

You will be responsible for proactively managing all claim types and claims handling activities from lodgement through to decision by the insurer.

Successful relationship management with all stakeholders including members and their
representatives, employers, insurers, the medical community and other third parties is required.

You will be required to establish and maintain professional and collaborative relationships with all parties and liaise with customers in a sensitive and appropriate manner.

You will also proactively manage the progress of claims through resolving any issues preventing claim progress and finalisation. The role will deliver excellent service to Australian Retirement Trust customers and third parties in relation to all claims.

This role is available as a
permanent opportunity.

About you
If this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications will include:

  • Demonstrated experience in claims handling and review based on the associated legislation that operates within the superannuation environment.
  • A genuine passion for customer service and the ability to inspire and lead others to outstanding customer experiences.
  • Ability to negotiate and liaise at all levels in a sensitive and appropriate manner, representing the members and the clients' interests with integrity.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills competent at producing recommendation reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated business and commercial acumen through communication of complex issues, assessment of risk and improvement recommendations.
  • A high level of technical competence in Superannuation and Insurance.
