Process Improvement Specialist (ANZ)

Position Summary:


This position will be responsible for supporting a PPI (Lean Six Sigma) focused culture and capability across our ANZ business, by championing and driving initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy including a heavy emphasis on business process improvement.

It will also include the project management and delivery of significant initiatives across commercial, supply chain and finance to enable delivery of key benefits.

The key focus will be to drive process improvements and costs savings initiatives.

We continue to drive the focus on Customer Experience, Productivity and Quality (where required) to significantly contribute to achieving the ANZ vision.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Partner with ANZ Thermo Fisher Scientific employees to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness across commercial and supply chain teams
  • Lead a continuous improvement culture that encourages employee involvement and ownership to drive business results
  • Drive key trainings on PPI Methodology & support any PPI Training initiatives
  • Coordinate and lead (with support) PPI Projects to improve existing business processes, including coownership of the new Integrated Management System (IMS) and methods to assess and improve business process maturity
  • Run workshops to build project diagnostics (problem statement, measure, analyse) and identify, prioritise and plan improvements (improve, control)
  • Build analytic insights to support improvement, using Power BI and datalakes
  • Collect improvement ideas for process improvement via regular interactions with the business (ie. daily interactions or scheduled workshops) and support Project Pipeline Development and Maintenance
  • Identify best practices within or outside the company and serve as a conduit for bestpractice sharing
  • Develop project charters for ideas raised across the Business, including costbenefit impact to Business
  • Link project priorities and outcomes to business direction, KPI's and strategies
  • Partner with Finance and other personnel to evaluate project results including financial, customer and employee impacts
  • Support a communication plan that keeps the business and employees informed of pipeline status, project outcomes and their contribution to the business, customers and employees
  • Follow PPI business systems guidelines and utilise PPI tools to achieve goals
  • Work with commercial leaders, where appropriate, to partner with key customers to overcome challenges by using PPI business systems and acting as facilitator to lead outcomes
  • Portray the Company values in all activities and actions

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:


Qualifications & Experience

  • 5 + years of relevant professional experience, ideally including in a Supply Chain /Commercial environment
  • Lean Six Sigma qualification preferably Black Belt level
  • Project Management Leadership strong focus on productivity/savings based Projects
  • Achievement Oriented
  • Ability to learn and adapt to changing business environments
  • Experience in working in a global and matrix organisation with a decentralised model
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills with focus on PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI
