In this role, you'll:


You will contribute to the overall strategic and tactical support of the Security, Crisis and Emergency Management (SCEM) branch in the Prevention, Preparation, Response and Recovery phase to a range emergency management events.

The SCEM branch leads the transport structure in global best practice in these domains (Security, Crisis & Emergency Management). This integrates with delivering sustainable outcomes for people, customers and the community.

This is a fixed term opportunity until April 2025 with the potential to extend.

This role may require travel within and outside the state from time to time as required

As the co-ordinator, you will be required to:

  • Support the development, implementation and coordination of state-wide transport capability to facilitate and ensure compliance
  • Project manage the development and implementation of hazard and location specific transport plans in accordance with State and National emergency risk assessment guidelines and practices
  • Ensure that plans meet required standards
  • Support the development of Concepts of Operations, Standard Operational Procedures and other plans as required for transport agencies engaged in emergency operations
  • Support the coordination of state and national participation in exercises to refine transport preparedness planning and response arrangements.

About you


As our co-ordinator you will always have a finger on the pulse across teams and would be responsible for ensuring great content, accurate reporting to the Senior management to facilitate well informed decision making.

You'll be expected to determine matters that need to be referred to senior managers or other staff to deal with and provide advice exercising discretion and judgement on what is appropriate to send to their manager and/or leadership team.


You would be responsible for collating and coordinating inputs from various teams and packaging it perfectly before sharing with the Senior management.

You share our passion for making things better every day by providing sound advice and support in drafting strategies and plans for various aspects of the business.


You are a self-driven, multi-tasker and outcome focussed professional with the ability to collaborate, pay attention to detail and enjoys working in a highly dynamic environment.

You come with strong experience in business support of senior management in evaluating, analysing and reporting on business performance in a large complex environment and complexity doesn't phase you.
