Executive Manager Risk and Controls - Enterprise Technology Program

See yourself in our team:

The Technology Chief Controls Office (CCO) team is a Line 1 risk team responsible for supporting CBA in continuing to mature its risk culture and establish and maintain strong risk practices.

Technology CCO is responsible for providing end-to-end risk advice and guidance.

We support our delivery teams across CommBank in their development and operation of solutions ranging across innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business.

Do work that matters:

As an individual contributor, lead the risk and control activities across the Monoliths program in the Enterprise Technology Program (ETP), and provide line 1 advisory support to the EGM Enterprise Technology Program.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Design and implement the strategic risk approach and model that brings together a holistic view of risk impacts the program will have in the short, medium and long term.
  • Define and operationalise the risk operating model for the ETP, working across existing Technology CCO teams and BU/SU CCO teams to provide endtoend risk assessments and support, through the Change Management Risk Standard (CMRS) and other risk management requirements.
  • Develop and implement monitoring and measurement of risk impacts of the program as key milestones are delivered.
  • Develop and implement, with the Tech CCO Regulatory Engagement and Privacy team, a cohesive regulatory engagement plan focused on framework and approach not limited to program milestones to ensure regulator awareness and support.
  • Provide the 'risk lens' for ETP reporting to executive and board, to ensure transparency and support optimal risk decisions.
  • Support EGM ETP in driving a sound risk culture, inclusive of clear evidence of the 'Should we?' test.
  • Maintain a comprehensive stakeholder map and provide audience appropriate communications focused on the 'So what?'.
  • Together with peers across Tech CCO, coach and support team members working on risk assessments for ETP aligned deliverables.
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with Line 2 and Line 3 peers aligned to ETP.
  • Ensure the relevant teams are engaged across all elements of our risk frameworks.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • An advanced understanding and knowledge of the risk and control environment and framework with proven experience with operational and compliance risks.
  • Ability to lead, direct and manage a large and varied stakeholder group at all levels of seniority across Business Units outside immediate area and influence change.
  • Product knowledge from at least one area of Banking Technology and strong process knowledge experience.
  • Experience and awareness of technology compliance obligations.
  • Experience in leading a team of risk professionals.
  • Ability to analyse trends, identify critical threats and opportunities, diagnose problems and issues and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Have a passion for technology and technology risk, remaining up to date on emerging industry trends, technologies and risks.
  • Experience working on Groupwide strategic initiatives.
  • We support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half their time each month connecting in office. We also have many other flexible working options available including changing start and finish times, parttime arrangements and job share to name a few. Talk to us about how these arrangements might work in the role you're interested in. _
