Our client is a prominent corporation specializing in the design, manufacturing, distribution, and servicing of diesel and natural gas engines.

They are the world's largest independent manufacturer of diesel engines for trucks.

Located in Scoresby, their Distribution Business Unit focuses on reconditioning diesel engines and managing engine spare parts warehousing and distribution.


Description
As a Supply Chain Planning Coordinator, you will contribute to the success of multiple supply chain projects within the Distribution Business Unit


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Inventory Management and Optimization: Collaborate with the inventory team to reduce excess and obsolete inventory, ensuring efficient supply chain reporting. Utilize analytics and algorithms to determine optimal inventory levels, considering warehouse space and customer delivery requirements. Develop inventory strategies aligned with Cummins' overall strategic goals.
  • Materials KPI Management: Interpret and analyze KPIs to understand their impact on end customers. Balance tradeoffs strategically to optimize one KPI while minimizing the impact on others. Manage and communicate department and country KPIs, identifying gaps in supply chain performance and driving improvements.
  • Materials Planning System Utilization: Support transportation supplier management and optimize transportation spend for a key department. Use materials planning systems to manage supply and demand plans, taking corrective action based on root cause analysis. Utilize adhoc tools such as Excel, Access, and TOAD as necessary, with a focus on leveraging the materials planning system for daytoday operations.
  • Other Responsibilities: Contribute to the achievement of departmental objectives and support change management efforts for transformational projects. Champion ergonomics and fatigue management beyond operational areas. Participate in key department meetings, ensuring objectives are met and outcomes communicated. Manage training and development requirements for the supply chain team. Prepare analytical reports to support various business needs.
