About the role:

Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence Systems - Land Systems Program Office (EWIS-L SPO) currently supports operational acquisition and sustainment activities, conventional acquisition and sustainment activities, and conducts transition activities resulting from operations


The Project Management Services & Support will be required to support and undertake management of the FPECM capability element and its integration into ADF platforms.

The Project Support will provide the experience and knowledge in leading a diverse team of engineers, project management staff and logistics specialists to drive project outcomes for vehicle integration.

The Project Support must possess good leadership and communications skills in order to develop key stakeholder relationships, manage project risk, conduct procurements in accordance with CASG processes and execute direction provided by the FPECM Project Manager to achieve Vehicle Integration outcomes.


Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Experience in managing complex projects/programs within Defence
  • Experience in preparation of documentation in support of Gate approvals
  • Understanding of Government Procurement framework
  • Experience in asset management in a classified environment
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills to enable effective management of a divers engineering, project management and Logistic team, and
  • Experience with and understanding of obligations under US ITAR, and minimum of NV1 security clearance, with the ability to obtain and hold an NV2 security clearance for duration of contract
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with key internal and external stakeholders and ADF and APS staff to achieve outcomes
  • Provision of SME advice and support to the development of industry engagement strategies; I. a. Provide additional project management support as required (adhoc meetings and advice in support of the project).

MANDATORY

  • Experience and knowledge in leading a diverse team of engineers, project management staff and logistics specialists to drive project outcomes for vehicle integration
  • Minimum of NV1 security clearance, with the ability to obtain and hold an NV2 security clearance for duration of contract.
  • Emotional intelligence in working with stakeholders and leaders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience in coordinating and assisting in the management of complex cases.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Current Police Check, o ability to obtain one.

The Project Support will be required to undertake:

  • Management of the FPECM vehicle Integration through a diverse team of Engineers, Logistics specialists and Project Management resources
  • Take direction from the FPECM Project Manager to deliver outcomes for the project
  • Liaison with and support to the Capability Manager
  • Engage with SMEs
