About the role:

The Engineering Manager is a full-time permanent position, based between our Villawood & Ingleburn site locations.

Reporting to the Operations Manager this role is responsible for managing all aspects of engineering, maintenance, continuous improvement and capital projects for Interior Systems Commercial Fit out.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Drive Safety engagement across Commercial Fit out, Sites first point of call for maintenance and engineering safety and Responsible for safe project/shutdown planning and execution.
  • Active Leadership in both daily and longterm operation of the business.
  • Instil a growth and learning mindset within the engineering/maintenance department to increase overall strength.
  • Actively work with the team to drive improvement initiatives, quantify benefits and track performance. Identify required competencies and ensure effective training via assessment and skills matrix.
  • Provide clear Technical Direction that enables CFO to execute and deliver on strategic objectives.
  • Support business Transformations by providing technical solutions, cost models and project management.
  • Drive Maintenance Systems by implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies throughout CFO plants in accordance with the CSR Way.
  • Regularly conduct KPI Analysis and use to drive improvement plans. Ensure effective contractor management with commercial agreements in place where appropriate.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing Principles to improve product quality, drive simplification of systems and processes.
  • Evidenced by Six Sigma Initiatives, plant housekeeping standards, 5S, standard work, SMED, QMS etc. to deliver optimum performance.
  • Comply with WHSE authorities in accordance with the responsibilities matrix

About You:


  • Tertiary degree in Engineering and exposure across project management and maintenance best practice.
  • 7 years plus of relevant leadership experience.
  • Proven leadership and change management skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication & relationship skills.
  • Motivation and ability to work in a team environment.
  • SAP Experience required & AutoCAD highly desirable.
