In conjunction with delivering its Vision strategy, David Jones is currently in the middle of a multi-faceted and organisational wide transformation as it transitions to new ownership.

The Digital Trade Coordinator in Footwear & Accessories will support with the planning and acquisition of merchandise assortments for our Online store.


As the Digital Trade Coordinator - F&A, you will support with the planning and acquisition of merchandise assortments for our webstore, liaise with buyers to advise on online performance and get exposure to a luxury brand assortment.

With an exciting roadmap ahead in beauty, we are looking for someone to drive results and true partnership in our E-commerce team.

Reporting into our Womenswear Trade Manager, you will be specifically responsible for your category results and trade.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for all things digital and fashion, who thrives in a multifaceted and fast paced role, and who is a true team player.


What does the role involve?

  • Review and manage online assortment width and depth across agreed digital areas, including cross functional liaison with Buying team and Digital Marketing.
  • Manage and report on sales, profit, and inventory levels within policy guidelines & benchmarks.
  • Partner with Merchandise to drive innovation in service and selection online
  • Liaise with the Merchandise teams to select merchandise assortments within agreed areas that satisfy our value proposition, strategy and customer expectation in the digital space.
  • Provide support in the visual merchandising of product assortment online to drive customer engagement and conversion.
  • Reporting and Analytics of trade.
  • Ensure inventory and relevant images and copy are up to date.
  • Staying abreast of Women's Accessories trends and Ecommerce innovations

Who are we looking for?

  • Demonstrated experience in an Operations, Planning, Buying (or similar) role
  • Demonstrated experience within Retail industry preferred
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience negotiating contracts and terms of business with suppliers and vendors
  • Highly developed communication skills, with a proven ability to manage and maintain and strengthen vendor relationships
  • An analytical mindset with a strong understanding of how retail operations work
  • Experience working within a complex and multifaceted business and ability to work cross functionally
