An exciting opportunity exists for an ongoing Manager, Business Partnering to join the Business Partnering Unit within the Budget and Finance Branch, within the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA).

The Role
The Manager, Business Partnering reports to the Director, Infrastructure Budget and Accounting. Key attributes of the successful applicant will be proven leadership skills, commitment to continuous improvement and attention to detail.


The Manager, Business Partnering will lead a team to:

  • Support the VSBA to effectively develop and manage the budget and expenditure of the Authority, including budget setting, monitoring and financial analysis.
  • Work closely with the department's asset accounting team to support implementation of financial management policies and procedures for asset accounting.
  • Develop and implement financial processes across VSBA and DE financial, project and asset management systems.
  • Support VSBA divisions and business units in budget management by fulfilling requirements throughout the department's budget cycle.
  • Lead relationships with audit staff to ensure collation of materials for audit requests are easy to follow, complete and accurate.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide advice to facilitate senior management to make informed decisions and to build their financial acumen.
  • Drive continuous improvement to lift the quality of all financial processes and outputs in line with accounting standards, best practice and audit advice.

To be successful for this role you will need:
