Compensation: Band 4A 36 Hour Week $ $
Employment type: Temporary Full Time- Council's Neighbourhood House Unit is looking for a Support Officer to cover parental leave at Sydenham Neighbourhood House.

  • We are seeking a person who is motivated and experienced in connecting with local communities to enable facility access and program participation.
  • To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • Ability to work in accordance with our values and behaviours
  • Demonstrated experience in community liaison in a community setting
  • Welldeveloped written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven high level organisational skills to plan, prioritise and manage daily work and competing priorities within required timelines efficiently and effectively
  • Demonstrated experience in working in an intercultural setting with an ability to work with and relate to a diverse range of clients, service users and service providers
  • An understanding of the role of Neighbourhood Houses within the community, functions and services
  • Demonstrated strong digital skills including computer, social media and internet skills with experience in using client data bases and various software packages including MS Office Suite and Outlook
  • BRIMBANK CITY COUNCIL ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 9, 2021 EA
  • To be eligible for employment at Brimbank City Council you must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident of Australia or be legally entitled to work in Australia.
  • In line with the directions issued by Victoria's Chief Health Officer, some roles at the Council require staff to be vaccinated to be able perform duties and/or deliver services to the community. If you are successful in the selection process, you will be required to provide us with an evidence of an approved Covid19 vaccination or authorised medical exemption.
