What you'll be doing


The Kids Cancer Centre at Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick provides a comprehensive service for the diagnosis and management of children and adolescents with cancer or a blood disorder.


  • The KCC Administration Officer will provide key administrative support for the Kids Cancer Centre.
  • The Administration Officer will work to prioritise tasks and workflow management; performing a wide range of complex functions relevant to supporting a dynamic and busy department and its clinicians.


The Administration Officer will also be passionate about providing exceptional customer service to patients, families and all relevant stakeholders internal and external to the KCC.


  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with ability to problem solve.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Professional attitude, with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Proven ability to prioritise work and achieve deadlines.
  • High accuracy data entry, high level skills in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Medical administrative experience, including knowledge of medical terminology and experience with dictaphone typing (desirable)

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).

New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
