Caterpillar is the largest and arguably, the most well-recognised equipment manufacturer in the world and we are now looking for the right person to take our Building Construction Products (BCP) and our Retail presence to new heights at William Adams.

This is an exciting new opportunity based in either Clayton or Laverton for a
Retail Manager to join our dedicated and passionate Sales team.

You will have overall responsibility for the product and commercial ownership relating to the BCP group of products.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the General Manager of Equipment Sales you will lead, coach and mentor a growing team of branch-based Equipment Sales Reps across Victoria and Tasmania.

You will work with your team to create employee development plans and customer communication strategies.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Supporting our New Equipment Sales Team in achieving profitable sales of New, Used and Rental equipment, across various territories
Ensuring growth targets, gross and net profit, PINS (market share) objectives, participation, closure rates and sales efficiency targets are met
Retail Transformation accountability and ownership for the dealership
Ownership of our Sales and Marketing Excellence Program
Providing quality product support to our valued and loyal customers
Ensuring the team capture all activity and opportunity forecasts through Sales Link (CRM)

ABOUT YOU
You will be a motivational people leader who thrives on seeing your team succeed.

You will have a strong background in sales and business development and sound product knowledge within the heavy machinery industry.

You will have the following skills and experience:

Experience in leadership and employee learning and career development
Proven ability to develop long term internal and external customer relationships
Strong project, people, administration and commercial management skills
Excellent organisational skills and the capacity to handle several tasks simultaneously
