Based in the Justice & Society Unit at the Magill campus

  • Fulltime, two (2) year fixed term contract
  • Starting salary: $109,074 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About the Role


The Lecturer is responsible for the development, delivery, and coordination of courses within the Psychology undergraduate and postgraduate programs and contribute to UniSA Justice & Society's research agenda.


The position will contribute independently and as part of a team to support the UniSA Justice & Society's teaching and scholarship outcomes and carry out activities to maintain and develop their scholarly and/or professional activities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate and deliver courses on campus, offshore, online or via other appropriate methods
  • Support the Academic Unit's and University's teaching and learning initiatives in ways that will enhance the student experience and ensure UniSA graduates are the preferred employees of their field.
  • Contribute to scholarly activity, independently and/or as a member of a team, which enhances scholarly teaching practice and maintains currency with the discipline/profession
  • Create, foster and enhance links with relevant business, university and community bodies that assist the advancement of University and Academic Unit objectives
  • Plan, review and manage resources to facilitate the Academic Unit's teaching activities

Essential Skills and Experience

  • A doctoral qualification in Psychology and Undergraduate Psychology qualifications
  • Demonstrated high quality teaching outcomes with evidence of a strong commitment to continuous improvement of teaching practice and learning outcomes, in oncampus and online settings
  • Demonstrated establishment of a program of scholarship that enhances the teaching outcomes of the Academic Unit by conducting scholarly activity, independently and/or as a member of a team
  • Some experience working with Schools and industry as partners and in the delivery of professional development
  • Demonstrated high standard of interpersonal ability, written and oral communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a diverse team
