In this role you will support the delivery and management of programs of works, including those funded under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).

RLOs are allocated a portfolio of delivery agents, including Councils, State Departments and Non-Government Organisations throughout Queensland.

Regular contact and engagement (remote and on-site) with these delivery agents is critical in scoping, delivery, monitoring and acquittal of programs.


  • Support delivery and management of programs, including DRFAfunded projects, for assigned delivery agents in Queensland.
  • Work with QRA executive to represent QRA's interests and address issues with delivery agents.
  • Identify and manage issues related to progress, delivery, costs, and risks, generating solutions to mitigate risks for QRA.
  • Represent QRA at local, regional, or State Disaster Management Groups.
  • Assess submission conformance, eligibility, scope, and accuracy of cost estimates.
  • Conduct ontheground inspections and program reviews to monitor funded works and delivery reporting.
  • Provide technical and project management advice to delivery agents for effective program delivery.
  • Facilitate resolutions between QRA and delivery agencies in case of disagreements.
  • Build productive relationships with colleagues, delivery agents, partners, and industry to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Occasional travel within Queensland to meet stakeholders and potential travel postdisaster events for QRA response and recovery operations.

Academic / Professional Qualifications - Highly Desirable

  • Possession of a degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent Civil Engineering qualification, which is accepted by the Institution of Engineers Australia as a full Member (MIEAust).

Academic / Professional Qualifications - Desirable

  • Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
  • Project management qualifications.

Experience - Highly Desirable

  • Project management skills in a program management environment or similar.
  • Stakeholder engagement and management.
