About the Opportunity

Provide leadership as a resource person and role model to analyse and identify opportunities to maximise benefits realization for clinical products.

You will support the SWSLHD Transforming Your Experience strategy to provide an exceptional experience for everyone who interacts with our organization for the provision of safe, high-quality care.


The Clinical Products Consultant will assist the Clinical Products Manager in the development of strategies to optimize opportunities to achieve improvements in quality, safety and efficiency.

The role will ensure clinical accountability across NSW Whole of Health clinical contracts and will liaise and engage with internal clinical stakeholders, external suppliers and HealthShare NSW.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
  • Demonstrated senior nursing experience with detailed understanding of procurement processes and the interaction with clinical departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership with highly developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult, negotiate, influence and liaise effectively with people at all levels of the organization and relevant suppliers.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the development of procedures and guidelines relating to procurement and clinical products including ability to influence clinical stakeholders in procurement processes and product rationalization.
  • Demonstrated ability to represent Supply Services and collaborate with staff and other health professionals to develop relationships and understanding of clinical capacity and technical product detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and solve complex challenges and problems and identify strengths and limitations of potential procurement strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to an operational plan for Supply Services. This includes supporting organisational change, risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
  • Demonstrated experience in reporting and analyzing data to inform decision making.
