Minara Resources has an opportunity for a Contractor Management Superintendent to join our established and dedicated team.

The Role

The successful person will be responsible for contractor management, overseeing the operational aspects of major contracts, ensuring the effective management and operation of the contract, commercial systems and operating procedures, business optimisation and overseeing site wide cost reduction initiatives.


  • You will be responsible for:
  • Owning and monitoring the performance of major contractors to ensure safety, headcount, cost, contractual compliance, governance and performance indicators are met;
  • Identifying data trends and insights and producing reports and dashboards that will inform, elevate and improve contractor management processes;
  • Implementing sustainable workflow systems and processes to enable the achievement of both strategic and tactical plans;
  • Providing direction and support to MMO Contract Owners to ensure effective and adequate operational site management is maintained;
  • Liaising with Supply & Logistics for any commercial related Contract requirements;
  • Supporting operational continuous improvement and business optimisation initiatives; and
  • Assist in business case development.

About You
This role would suit a results driven and experienced Superintendent


You will also have:

  • Appropriate Tertiary level preferably with a post graduate qualification in Business Management or Finance;
  • Sound understanding of contract, commercial and financial management activities at a largescale mining and/or mineral processing operation;
  • Proven contract management skills;
  • Proven ability to deliver results and lead a team in delivering a high level of customer support;
  • Experience in managing department costs and budgeting;
  • High level understanding of all relevant legislation relevant to role in the mining industry in WA.
