    The Company

    We have a new opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer

    We are working with a leading resources organisation who has multiple opportunities available for experienced Data Engineers. You will be working within a project team, on heavy duty mining equipment and railway equipment teams.

    Your responsibilities will include managing test data and ensuring smooth data transfer processes. You'll also play a crucial role in standardizing data naming conventions and optimizing database structures for efficient data storage. You'll create user-friendly workflows and documentation for our data software and platforms. If you're passionate about managing big data and driving innovation in technology, come join us and be a part of shaping the future of our business.

    You will be offered an initial contract with an initial term of 6 months, with likely extension for at least another six months. You will be based in Perth's CBD with the option to work 1-2 days WFH.

    Your Skills

    Essential skills:

    • Ideally 5+ years of experience in design and delivery of complex data warehousing and data management field.
    • Strong proficiency in SQL is required.
    • Experience with MQTT protocol (Sparkplug B).
    • Proficiency in Python, Java, and .Net framework.
    • Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, and GitHub for issue tracking and version control workflow is highly advantageous.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Snowflake is highly advantageous.
    • Experience in developing report dashboards using tools like Tableau and Power BI is highly advantageous.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
