The Company:


Zoom Recruitment are partnering with the leading provider of logistics services in the world which specialise in providing a range of transportation services in over 20 countries and employ over 400,000 people worldwide.


The Roles:


Permanent full-time positions currently exist for two
Transport Allocators (1 x day shift & 1 x afternoon shift), located at their Western Melbourne based transport facility.

These roles will see you reporting to the relavent shift Operations Manager and responsible for leading the coordination and scheduling of all fleet allocations of internal and external customers to ensure that efficient and effective daily delivery and pick-up solutions are met and maintained.


You will utilise your knowledge and experience to manage and overcome daily challenges, make key decisions and ensure that transport operations are running efficiently and smoothly within a fast paced environment.

You will be aided by mentoring and training from day one and the latest technology.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage daytoday transport scheduling, allocation and coordination to ensure agreed customer service levels are adhered to
  • Monitor fleet performance focusing on systems, procedures and processes and identify and implement areas for improvement
  • Liaise and build effective relationships with internal & external stakeholders including customers, drivers, internal operational, supervisory and management staff
  • Ensure compliance with CoR legislation with an emphasis on Load Restraint & Fatigue Management and Safety

About you:


  • Possess a minimum 2 years of relevant Transport Allocation experience
  • Exposure to working within a large logistics fleet operation
  • Extensive knowledge of freight transport operations and logistics
  • Load restraint knowledge and an understanding of vehicle legal weight and weight distribution
  • Understanding of working with Dangerous Goods
  • In depth knowledge of the Melbourne metro & surrounding areas
  • Strong time management and organisation skills with a strong eye for detail
  • Strong leadership, influencing and organisational skills
  • Welldeveloped verbal & written English communication skills
  • MS Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work an ongoing
    Day or
    Afternoon shift
