Your role at St John of God Midland Hospital
In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating all operational asset and project tasks within the Engineering Department to ensure that buildings, equipment and facilities are maintained to the highest possible standard.
- Management of engineering trade's caregivers and contract labour.
- Ensure worked hours and leave liability are maintained within agreed targets.
- Develop and maintain a culture of service excellence and sustainable caregiver engagement,
- Ensure appropriate contractor management processes are in place (including work permits, supervision, and inspection of work).
- Ensure effective communication and consultation with internal and external stakeholders in relation to facility management matters.
- Coordination of all internal project works capital and minor.
- Completion of works specifications suitable for external distribution.
- Liaising with and reporting to various external entities, including LARU, Department of Mines & Petroleum, WorkSafe, Local council, State Government, Insurers, DFES.
- Assists in the assessment, negotiation and awarding of Divisional, Regional and Statewide contracts.
To succeed you will have highly developed communication, leadership, mediation skills and confliction resolution ability, as well as planning and organisation skills, resource management skills including human, financial and physical resources.
You will have demonstrated ability to record information, prepare quality written reports such as maintenance programs and have highly developed skills in analysing and resolving complex problems and issues.

- Salary: $87,688.00 to $90,097.00 per annum, plus 11% superannuation
- A Permanent full time position is available working up to 76 hours per fortnight
