I am currently partnering with one of Queensland's largest State Government Departments to recruit an experienced Test Manager to join them on a long term day rate contract through until 30th August 2024.

As the Test Manager, you will plan, coordinate and deliver all aspects of testing for five projects.

You will need to be able to work with multiple and different stakeholder groups concurrently and be able to self-manage with competing priorities.


About the Role:

Establish and maintain Project estimates and schedule forecasts for testing activities;
Provide timely, detailed and effective test artefacts for each Project;
Ensure effectiveness of test strategies and plans;
Define test requirements for future state enterprise data platform environments;
Drive process improvement, ensuring that test automation and processes continue to evolve;
Develop clear strategy for defect management and support senior management to make quick and fact-based decisions;
Provide Test Reports to program stream lead and program executives;
Support risk management and mitigation plans and change and release outcomes;
Provide testing services to an existing reporting platform during the planning phase of the EQIP Program; and

Management of Test environment across project and project releases.

About You

Experience operating within large and complex ICT programs of work;
Demonstrated understanding of SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) for data / BI-enabled ICT projects;
Experience in working in Azure DevOps, CI/CD framework;
Significant experience in developing test strategies and test plans and artefacts for data / BI-enabled ICT projects;
Experience managing test analysts and verifying test results within a contemporary data platform;
Strong understanding of contemporary data / business intelligence technologies and approaches and the supporting enterprise-level data governance / management required;
Knowledge of data platform and data modelling principles and schema;
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills;
Adept at documenting functional and non-functional requirements;
Experience in M365 tool set, including MS Teams and SharePoint; and

Demonstrated experience for managing all test phases including automated and manual test suites.
