Our Skin Health team play an important role in achieving this vision with projects spanning a wide research portfolio of basic science to translational projects with a focus on the health of kids and families in Aboriginal communities.


We now have an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager to join this passionate and values-driven team, to provide managerial oversight and coordinate a large and growing portfolio of research projects in the field of skin health and infectious diseases.

The Role

As our new Program Manager, you will play a significant role in the direction and delivery of the strategic priorities of our team.

This will see you leverage on your skills and experience in research grant administration, research translation activities as well as financial management, with a key part of this position being around team leadership & mentorship managing staff here in Perth as well as in Broome.


Although sitting within a research team, you will have plenty of opportunities to collaborate & share your knowledge with other Program Managers across the Institute.

Based within the Perth Children's Hospital in Nedlands, this full-time opportunity will be offered on a 2-year contract initially.


About You

This is a diverse and rewarding role that requires dedication to working with a number of internal & external stakeholders, and would suit someone with a research background, strong program management skills and familiarity with the research or academic sector.

The key to your success will be your demonstrated experience in the following:

  • Undergraduate degree in health or medical science or related field.
  • Highly developed project planning, coordination, and management skills; ability to lead the development and implementation of multiple research projects.
  • Significant experience in research design; research leadership, coordination, implementation and management; financial management, research translation.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to develop strong internal and external relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and manage and work effectively in a complex and changing environment.
