Whilst our volunteers are the cornerstone of CFA services, what goes on behind the scenes is just as important in helping to protect lives and property.


About the Role:

Are you seeking an ongoing role within a supportive, collaborative and highly skilled Legal services team where you can showcase your operations management skills?

Reporting to the General Counsel, the Legal Operations Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and systems of the CFA Legal team to enable efficient and effective delivery of legal advice and services to CFA.

The critical role will see you provide a range of coordination, integration and analytical support services in the areas of matter management, planning, financial management, management of external legal services providers and technology to enable CFA's lawyers to focus on providing legal advice and services to CFA.

About You:


The person we are looking for will ideally have tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Legal and/or proven experience undertaking a similar role in a large and complex organisation.

Naturally you will have strong analytical skills that support effective problem solving and decision making along with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong connections and excellent working relationships with a range of key stakeholders.

Crucial to your success in this role be your experience in managing confidential, sensitive and high-risk activities and information.

Further to this, you will have a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify issues and design and implement fit for purpose solutions which respond to a range of people capability and organisational culture challenges.

You will be joining a fast paced, rapidly changing emergency service organisation where the work you do has a direct impact on helping the community and within a team who live and breathe the CFA values.
