Introduction:
THE ROLE
Mulpha Australia is one of the country's most strategic real estate debt and equity investors and leisure, residential and commercial property development and retail and office sectors.
The focus of this position is to drive the community engagement and communications strategy at Sanctuary Cove, aligning with the broader Mulpha Developments and Mulpha Group objectives.
As Associate Principal Investments & Corporate Development you will be reporting to the Head of Principal Investments and Corporate Development, working on Mulpha's strategic initiatives including investments, acquisitions, joint ventures, divestments, and corporate partnerships, increasing its private equity and venture capital investments.
You will focus on reviewing new opportunities, and considering those where Mulpha can utilise its strategic assets, operational expertise, and management experience to increase value and returns.
Key responsibilities will include but not limited toSource, screen, investigate analyse and execute on transactions across investments, acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate partnerships.
Design and build intermediate and complex financial models for internal investment analysis purposes.
Review Excel models prepared by targets or other stakeholders.
Use advanced modelling to provide insights into data that supports the decision making of the business on their key financial, economic, and operational issues.
Work with the finance and operations team to gather data and insights.Produce high quality outputs using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, with digestible charts, diagrams, schematics, and other visual aids to assist in presenting complex data in a simple fashion.
Support the preparation of internal business cases for consideration by the investment committee and Board.Learn from, and work with, a team of professionals from across the business.
YOUR BACKGROUND
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, or other relevant area with strong academic results
Minimum 3 years, but preferably more experience in a similar role within a corporate or experience gained in either an investment bank, advisory firm, management consulting or Big Four accounting environment.
In-depth experience in financial/commercial analysis, modelling, data analytics and researchDemonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
Experience can either be local and international, but with a desire to develop local transaction knowledge and experience.
