What will you do?
You will undertake a variety of surveying work as per client's requests, manage day-to-day aspects of your projects including client interaction, fieldwork, calculations, safety management and the quality assurance of all work as well as other tasks including:
- Undertake Open Pit / Underground mine surveys
- Work with clients to achieve production and safety targets
- Run surveys in an efficient and professional manner
- Maintain accurate records of job progress
- Implement control documents for all specified tasks (e.g. JHA/JSA, SOPs)
- Maintaining professional development and training
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities
- Provide seamless handovers for the incoming crew
What you need to succeed
As well as having a no problems just solutions attitude, you will need:
- Minimum Advanced Diploma or Bachelor degree in Surveying
- Preferably 2 years+ Underground and/or open cut Mine Surveyor experience
- Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
- Manual Drivers Licence
- Software experience in Surpac, Deswik, Vulcan, Pix4d, Agisoft etc
- Experience in control installation best practice and experience in survey checks and network adjustments
- Hardware experience with Leica or Trimble Total Stations and DJI or Phantom drones/UAVs, GPS, Scanning
- Customer service skills with technical proficiency
It would be an advantage to have:
- Experience with Scanning
- Current First aid certificate
- 4WD Training Course
- RPAS License (Multi Rotor and/or Fixed Wing)
