Our Industry and Communities team provides specialist expertise to assist our customers with their banking and finance needs.

As part of our Specialist Franchising Sector team you will interact with a diverse range of clients across many industries spanning very large multinational brands down to smaller and emerging brand owners.

You will be an integral part of the team driving the Bank's Franchising Sector strategy as we go after true sector leadership through sound risk management practices, policies and underwriting standards.

Do you want to work in a collaborative team and help to drive our continuing successes?


Reporting to the Senior Manager and using your strong analytical skillset and proficient report writing capabilities, most probably developed in a corporate analyst role for a major Australian bank, you will be heavily involved in assessing franchise brands to determine the bank's risk appetite towards those brands.

You won't be managing a client portfolio, rather enabling our front line team to actively manage their respective portfolio's with policy, tools, analytics and other initiatives that are aligned to our sector strategy.

You will have access to excellent tools, infrastructure and expertise to support you in your role.


More specifically, and amongst other things, you will be:

  • completing financial modelling, analyses and report writing;
- preparing, updating and maintaining underwriting guidelines;
- preparing credit submissions to support brand exposures;
- completing performance monitoring and annual reviews for existing programs;
- reporting client financial and operational performance measures; delivering exceptional customer service in all dealings with customers and other stakeholders


We want
to hear
from you
if you have**:

  • sound corporate/larger SME business banking analyst experience (ideally more than 3 years);
- client service experience, ideally in a corporate, commercial or business banking environment;
- proficiency in financial analyses and preparation of credit submissions for complex commercial business banking customers;
- the ability to quickly grasp complex transactions, and have previous 'new to bank' transactional and credit risk experience;
- completed tertiary qualifications in Business/Finance/Commerce;
- a "can do" attitude, enjoy learning new things and solving problems;
