Alltype Engineering is a multifaceted engineering company providing fabrication and installation services to the Oil & Gas, Water, Power Generation, Infrastructure, Mining, Resources, Utility, Petrochemical and Defence industries, in both the private and public sectors.

We provide pipework systems, mild steel cement lined (MSCL) piping & fittings, structural steel, plate fabrication, site installation, maintenance and Industrial Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) services.

Job Description:

Due to growth in the business we are currently seeking an experienced and versatile QC Inspector to join our team.

The successful applicant will be reporting to the QC team Lead.

The role will be responsible for (but not limited to):

Understand and implement customer QC requirements for each individual project.
Carry out material traceability for Jobs and maintain material traceability register (if required).
Carry out surface treatment (paint, galvanising, rubber lining etc) inspection and obtain reports for inclusion in the MDR as directed by the Project Manager, as required.
Checks all welds are visually acceptable and conform to the relevant codes, specifications and standards with reference to the acceptable limits of imperfections.
Review and assist Project Managers with Hold and Witness points on ITPs
Liaise with Project Managers, Supervisors and Checkers to manage the QA/QC requirements of the project

Qualifications:

Be a Certified Welding Inspector
Hold a CSWIP 3.1 certificate (minimum)
Must have relevant Trade Qualification
Minimum 5 years industry experience (preferred)
