About us
We are DevelopmentWA - Western Australia's land development agency. Our work is diverse and state-wide, developing land for sustainable communities, prosperous industry and resilient regions.


Our portfolio includes the development and management of some of WA's most iconic residential, commercial and industrial projects both within the metropolitan area, and regional areas of our state.

Projects including Elizabeth Quay, Alkimos, Ocean Reef Marina the Australian Marine Complex, Subi East and Broome North.


The Industrial Lands Authority is a Division within DevelopmentWA and fulfils the important role to remove barriers to investment and facilitate innovation, economic diversification and jobs growth in industrial areas and technology parks across Western Australia.


This includes the following priority outcomes:

  • Design and delivery of industrial estates, precincts and parks throughout Western Australia to meet market demand and pursue the jobs targets set by Government.
  • Secure government support to deconstrain industrial land to ensure a sufficient supply of development ready industrial land in the future.
  • Work with Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI) to make strategic industrial land development ready and continue to support those industries that locate in strategic industrial areas.

The role
As the Development Manager you will contribute to key Industrial development projects by:

  • Managing projects through different stages of the development lifecycle
  • Driving and facilitating project vision, objectives and outcomes
  • Providing accurate forecasts and managing project cash flow
  • Liaising with a range of key stakeholders including traditional owner and claimant groups to achieve required outcomes
  • Securing approvals and managing construction programs (client side)
  • Achieving sales targets and provide recommendations on product and pricing strategies
  • Coordinating and implementing standard sales strategies
  • Monitoring and reporting on project process
  • Identifying relevant learning and close out all project documentation requirements

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • A cando attitude, ability to learn fast and work closely with the team.
  • Project management qualifications will be well regarded.
  • Project management skills including the ability to produce business cases and manage delivery to agreed financial and project outcomes.
  • Experience in land development financials, sales and communications.
  • A proven ability to work within a team and manage a project team
  • A track record of working within existing policies, systems and processes to ensure corporate governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver project outcomes.
  • Ability to work across a diverse range of projects
  • A current unrestricted Drivers licence
