Context

This large federal agency operates Australia's welfare payments systems and associated flagship government portal for Australians to access a range of services.

This is a nationally Distributed Agile team operating SAFe project delivery methodologies. Public cloud and on-prem, AWS/Azure, SAP, Pega, Model204, and bespoke digital (iOS, Android, Java, JavaScript, Angular).

Skills required

The Agency is seeking applicants with skills across:

Analysing security risks and business impacts and providing guidance on security strategies to manage identified risks
Provision of technical advice, support and recommendations on security best practices and security/access models
Development and resourcing of security policies, profiles, procedures and projects

- leading the development, maintenance and enhancement of threat intelligence processes, procedures, frameworks, libraries, and services ? conduct threat hunting and threat modelling activities

Vulnerability research and management
Operational maintenance of system roles, access authorisations, and security profiles
Recommending strategic directions for Cyber Intelligence

Requirements:

Australian Citizenship is mandatory
Ability to work a hybrid onsite/offsite model (23 days in office 12 days from home)
Deep experience in cyber security, including GRC, threat intelligence and vulnerability management, risk and controls management, and promotion of security awareness
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology (Bachelor's degree or higher)
Experience working in federal government or large enterprise clients with nationally distributed teams and multijurisdictional projects
Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management and engagement
