Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking Media Coordinator to join their team.

The Media Manager will work closely with the Minister's Office, the Executive, Directors Communications Delivery and Operations, and the Senior Manager Media to develop and deliver an integrated media strategy and program.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively identifying and programming strategic media opportunities aligned with department and government priorities.
Review of existing processes to improve the quality and timeliness of strategic and tactical advice, monitoring sensitive and critical issues in the media and collaborating with colleagues across the department to ensure alignment and delivery of messaging in a high pressure and politically sensitive environment.
Develop a media campaign for strategic initiatives and provide media management to support campaigns, announcements, events, briefings and other opportunities

Selection Criteria:

Selfmotivated, confident and efficient, with strong news sense and a flair for interpreting and translating technical information into digestible and interesting news content for various audiences through media.
Demonstrate impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal, to support the delivery of media responses, releases and opportunities for internal and external stakeholders.

On offer is a - month contract at a highly sought after NSW Government Organisation, with a highly competitive daily rate.
