About the role:


AV has dedicated Therapeutic Specialists who develop assessments and trauma informed care plans for young people in our Therapeutic Residential Care houses.


As our first Manager Clinical Practice you will ensure clinical oversight of around 10 Therapeutic Specialists based at our Residential Units across the state.

You will provide quality clinical supervision, manage risk, lead and embed best practice models such as CARE and TCI and develop capability to ensure fidelity and practice mechanisms.

  • A clinical psychologist or a social worker with additional training or registration as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.
  • An understanding of CARE and TCI would be highly regarded; however, training will be provided.
  • Experienced in delivering individual and group supervision. Post graduate training or accreditation in clinical supervision.
  • The ability to provide expert case consultation and advice to highly skilled specialists, particularly around trauma, attachment, mental health, disability, substance abuse and sexually harmful behaviours, and developmental assessments.
  • Exceptional Leadership capability in respect to people, performance and outcomes in both internal operations and the delivery of great outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management.
  • Systemic family work or a background in Family Therapy would be advantageous.
