Head of Athletic Development

Melbourne Grammar School is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Athletic Development to join our Senior School in 2023.

The Head of Athletic Development will work in conjunction with the Director of Sport, sport staff and the Health and Physical Education Faculty in creating and implementing systems that will support the development of individual strength and conditioning programs, whilst ensuring overall wellbeing of the students.

These programs will be developed in consultation with staff and coaches.

The Head of Athletic Development will deliver and administer programs to students with the support of Melbourne Grammar Sport staff to ensure we are practicing the latest and best techniques for athletic development.

You will have:

Demonstrated leadership capability
Experience creating coach/athlete development programs in elite sporting environments
Demonstrated experience in development of strength and conditioning programs across a variety of sports and age groups
Knowledge, understanding and experience in working with talented players, coach development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to innovate and be progressive in the field of athlete development
Human Movement/Coaching/Exercise/Sports Science degree or equivalent
