About the role
This successful applicant will carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Manage the Queensland Eating Disorder Service.
  • Provide direct clinical services to the Queensland Eating Disorder Service.
  • Participate in the MNMH-Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (MNMH-RBWH) ECT roster.
  • Participate in the MNMH-RBWH afterhours oncall roster and the occasional provision of services in nonmetropolitan areas as required.
  • Attend team review meetings and education sessions.
  • Support and develop quality improvement and evaluation measures. Research activities are an integral part of this position and will be encouraged

Registration as a medical practitioner and specialist in psychiatry (FRANZCP) with the Medical Board of Australia.

Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to the commencement of clinical duties.

Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrist or equivalent post-graduate specialist qualification or eligible for registration as a Specialist in Psychiatry with the Medical Board of Australia.

MBBS or equivalent qualification registrable with the Medical Board of Australia.
A University appointment would be highly desirable.

Prior to commencement of duty, the appointee will be required to be credentialed by the appropriate MNH Sub-Committee and granted an appropriate Scope of Clinical Practice.
