Join our Corporate Operations Group who provide specialist services, human resources, workplace infrastructure and technology and market operations to Macquarie's businesses and who's primary purpose is to support and enhance the value of Macquarie through the creation of an efficient and scalable operating model.

This is a 12-month fixed term role.

What role will you play?


In this role, you will support the embedment of the Supplier Governance framework, execute governance activities and assurance of critical controls, perform incident recording, reporting, analysis, action management, escalation, and identify and perform continuous improvement initiatives including assisting to mature the policy, standards and procedures owned by the team.

You will act as an advocate for driving risk culture across the team and have oversight of effective operations providing support, training and coaching for regional leads and team members, including peer review and acting as point of escalation for complex, judgemental and/or specialised issues.


Acting as the delegate system owner for MySupplier, you will ensure that new or changing solutions are assessed, understood, and the business is supported for informed risk-based decisions.

Collaborating with GP Platforms teams you will investigate system outages/issues identifying root causes and recommend improvements and oversee testing, change processes and manage the creation of user and training documentation.

A key part of this role will be to provide reporting and analytics insights into emerging risks, regulatory change, and business unit compliance to the policy and standards to stakeholders, alongside facilitating advisory and training services surrounding complex matters.


What you offer

  • 10+ years of either compliance, operational risk or internal audit experience within financial services or specific experience in developing Third Party/ Supplier Risk functions
  • Practical experience with implementation of governance standards in supply chain
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a geographically dispersed team and the ability to assimilate information quickly with high attention to detail
  • Experience leading a team, and excellent relationship management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills, selfmotivated and able to meet SLAs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to negotiate, persuade and will maintain confidence when challenged
  • An understanding of business drivers and a strategic capability to harmonise risk management with business needs.
