About the facility
Barwon Health is the major regional health provider for the Barwon South West region.

It is one of Victoria's largest regional health services with one of the busiest hospitals in the state, University Hospital.

We serve over 500,000 people through the efforts of over 8,000 staff and more than 1200 volunteers.

We provide care at all stages or life and circumstance through a wide range of services from emergency and acute to mental health, primary care, community services, aged care, and subacute/rehabilitation.

Baxter Wing 5
Baxter Wing 5 is the Orthopaedic Unit at University Hospital Geelong.

We are a 32 bed unit with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, who admits both elective and trauma patients from Geelong and the Western Districts.


About the role
As the Patient Services Assistant, you will join our busy team in a part-time capacity. If you are interested in becoming a member of our team, we would love to hear from you.


As a Patient Services Assistant on Baxter Wing 5, you will support the Nursing staff and under the direction of the Unit Manager contribute to the maintenance of a welcoming safe and clean environment for patients, staff and visitors.

In this role, you will provide general occupied and discharge cleaning, patient food handling and storage, waste disposal, transport of patients on and off the ward and assisting nursing staff with patient care as required.
