The Opportunity


The West Region Delivery Team are working on Sydney Water critical infrastructure to deliver design, construction, maintenance, and facility management services for the next ten (10) years.

Projects involve the construction, upgrading and maintaining of Sydney Water assets across water, wastewater and recycled water systems extending from Sydney's Inner West suburbs out to the Blue Mountains including the Western Sydney Growth Area and part of the Northwest Growth Centre.


Due to new projects and an increased forward workbook, we are seeking an experienced Site Administrator to be part of the West Region Delivery Team constructing and rehabilitating Sydney Water's water and wastewater networks.


Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery of water and wastewater construction and rehabilitation projects assisting the Project Engineer and site teams with document preparation, cost tracking and reporting, and operational governance compliance and reporting tasks.


Responsibilities
You will provide administrative assistance to the project team including:
Primary Tasks

  • Working with the Project Manager, Project Engineer, site teams, selfperform employees and subcontractors to complete complex civil and pipeline projects in line with our established processes and high standards.
  • Tracking and checking of site daily records for use in real time cost tracking exercises and production monitoring.
  • Tracking and checking of site daily records for use in cost bench marking exercises to inform project decisions, cost estimating and cost forecasting.
Secondary Tasks

  • Assistance with governance compliance inspections, reporting and actions tracking.
  • Assistance with personnel and plant compliance records and approvals.
  • Assistance with record keeping and record maintenance.
  • Assistance with report preparation.


This will suit someone who has a genuine passion for site admin, an eye for detail, natural ability to work with a diverse group of people and wants to advance their career with a Tier 1 contractor.


What will you need

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar construction administrationbased role.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office
  • Word (Advanced), Excel (Advanced), Power Point (Advanced), Outlook (Advanced).
  • Experience with software such as JDE, M Files, WorkDay and timesheet software, Jotform and Salesforce are desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • High degree of accuracy in typing, spelling and grammar.
  • High degree of accuracy in spreadsheet data entry and calculations.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Effective teamplayer capabilities.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and flexible attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to plan and organise workload appropriately, combined with a willingness to undertake routine tasks.
