ACAP, The Australian College of Applied Professions, is Australia's leading independent provider of tertiary education, delivering accredited courses in psychology, counselling, coaching, criminology, social work, law, and business management and leadership (MBA).


We are currently seeking a _Digital Learning Experience Designer_
to join our team on a fixed-term basis for 12 months. This role works within a team of passionate learning designers and Moodle specialists to deliver new courses and products with a view to creating exceptional digital-first experiences for our students. We are a close-knit team contributing to an exciting period of growth at ACAP and we're looking for someone who shares our passion for educational innovation and outcomes to join us.


Responsibilities include:


  • Consult and negotiate with stakeholders to create evidencebased design concepts for new units
  • Collaborate with academic staff to enhance teaching, assessment, feedback and curriculum design outcomes in existing units, including development of instructional materials and workshops
  • Produce &/or review, edit and critique learning materials and provide feedback to achieve continuous improvement in learning and teaching practices across our disciplines
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation and creative thinking with a solutionsfocused mindset

In addition to a student-first approach, it is essential you can demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a learning design role, preferably in an academic or educational setting
  • A passion for the change that innovate learning design can bring to higher education
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, including strong negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (Moodle experience is preferred)
  • Track record of working autonomously and delivering complex projects to deadline
