Maroondah City Council is seeking an experienced, dedicated and collaborative professional to lead organisational compliance with matters of business integrity and proactively facilitate Council's risk management culture.

About the role

The Risk and Integrity Advisor is responsible for providing specialist advice and investigation on a range of complex and sensitive matters across Council's legislative obligations, particularly in relation to integrity and conduct matters.

In accordance with relevant legislation, the role is responsible for:

facilitating Council's integrity framework

- coordinating freedom of information requests
- managing privacy compliance
- leading fraud and corruption control,
- compliance with payment card industry data security
- assisting with litigated claims and Council's audit program
- developing relevant policies and reports

About you

You will have experience in a similar role within the public sector facilitating integrity processes, supporting risk management functions and ensuring legislative compliance.

Working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders you will be politically astute, have excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail, enjoy complexity and collaborative problem solving, and be committed to fair and equitable decision making.

You will also ideally have tertiary qualifications in Public Policy, Law or Business Administration (or a related discipline).
