This recruitment may be used to fill future positions via an eligibility list for permanent, full time, part time, temporary and casual positions.

This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

What you'll be doing
Whole Family Team (WFT) forms part of CCLHD's integrated Violence, Abuse and Neglect (VAN) Service, and is part of the Violence Abuse and Neglect

  • Family Services clinical stream. We are seeking a passionate and motivated person for our Clinical Lead
  • Mental Health role.


WFT is a key therapeutic service working in the family preservation area, providing intensive support to vulnerable families on the Central Coast where parental mental health and/or substance use places children at risk of harm (ROSH).

Services are delivered in close collaboration with Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), usually in the home, with the focus of supporting parents to strengthen their parenting capacity and family functioning so children can safely remain with their family.

The Clinical Lead

  • Mental Health in Whole Family Team (WFT) works alongside the Clinical Lead
  • Drug and Alcohol, and is responsible for the leadership, supervision and education of the team, and ensuring high quality, evidence based mental health interventions. The Clinical Lead
  • Mental Health role is also fundamental to actively engaging and participating in relevant mental health networks to support referral pathways, integrated model/s of care and comprehensive care.


VAN Services are leaders in trauma informed and culturally safe care for vulnerable children and families, and provides excellent opportunities for professional development and career advancement, along with exciting opportunities for mental health integration across CCLHD.

- _Occupational Therapist Level 4_
- _Senior Psychologist_
- _Social Worker Level 4._
